John and Gloria Morgan

John E. Morgan was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended Stratford High School and was graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.

He attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity in 1973 and his Doctor of Ministry, Emphasis in Preaching, in 1995.

He and his wife, Gloria, have four sons, John, Mark, Matthew and Joseph. He has been the Pastor of Collinsville Baptist Church since 1977.

Before becoming a full time pastor, John worked as a recreation director in Nashville, Tennessee, for U.S. Steel in Birmingham, Alabama, and has worked as a substitute teacher in the DeKalb County Schools in Alabama. His ministry experience includes:

President, Devotion Chairman, Sports Chairman at Tennessee Tech Baptist Student Union in Cookville, TN.
Sunday School Teacher, Church Training Director at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL.

John's interests and activities, in addition to being committed to being a good husband and father, are wide and varied.
